PNG Membership Categories & Applications

GOLD Membership Requirements

Applicant must:

1. Be at least 21 years of age, and have a minimum of three years experience as a professional numismatist;
2. Agree by signature to abide by the PNG Code of Ethics;
3. Agree to submit to binding arbitration to settle any dispute relating to the purchase, sale or trade of coins / numismatic items;
4. Agree to background check.

Applicants for regular membership must submit a current credit report and a check for $300, along with the full member application form, to the Executive Director, and must be sponsored for membership by four PNG full members.

If the Executive Director determines that the applicant meets the eligibility criteria, the applicant’s name will be submitted to all PNG regular members for approval. The Executive Director will transmit to the Board the names of all applicants approved by the membership, and the Board will vote whether to admit each such applicant to membership. If accepted, full member dues are $1,250 per year, or $125/month. Under the current promotion, the first two years of membership may be reduced to $600 for the year (or monthly payments of $50).

GOLD ASSOCIATE Membership Requirement

1. Be at least 21 years of age, and have two years experience as a professional numismatist;
2. Must be the employee of a current GOLD member;
3. Agree by signature to abide by the PNG Code of Ethics.

A current or former GOLD member of PNG may not apply for GOLD ASSOCIATE membership.

If the Executive Director determines that the applicant meets the eligibility criteria, the applicant’s name will be submitted to the PNG Board for approval. There is no application fee. If accepted, associate member dues are $500 per year, or $50 per month.

SILVER Membership Requirements

This class is open to any individual who is not a professional numismatist but is affiliated with the numismatic community, and supports the principles of the PNG and agree by signature to abide by the PNG Code of Ethics.

SILVER membership is also open to companies that are affiliated with the numismatic industry.

If the Executive Director determines that the applicant meets the eligibility criteria, the applicant’s name will be submitted to the PNG Board for approval. If accepted, SILVER member dues are $250 per year, or $25/month.
